X-RAY | ULTRASOUND | BLOOD TEST | FECAL TESTING | URINE TESTING
In-House diagnostics, such as digital x-ray and ultrasound equipment for dogs and cats and a fully equipped laboratory, are valuable tools when it comes to providing you with accurate answers quickly.
Our pets are experts at hiding their symptoms of discomfort, so even when you visit us for a wellness checkup, we might suggest laboratory testing that includes bloodwork and fecal or urine tests to check for underlying conditions.
At 242 Animal Hospital, we are pleased to offer you and your pets the advantages of the following in-house diagnostic tools:
Your pet’s blood, urine, and fecal samples can reveal a lot about the health of his or her organs and other major systems of the body. Our in-house lab enables us to analyze these samples quickly and accurately. Additionally, our SediVue Urine Sediment Analyzer can spot certain cancers and bacteria as well as evaluate your pet’s white blood cell and red blood cell counts, all from a urine sample.
Our digital radiology equipment and digital dental x-rays give us clear, high-definition images in an instant, enabling us to quickly spot broken bones, foreign objects, tumors, and problems developing beneath the gum lines. Digital radiology is also an important tool for identifying issues related to the heart and the digestive, reproductive, and urinary systems.
Ultrasound can provide a wealth of information and is noninvasive, involves no radiation, and is highly effective for locating ingested objects and tumors, and evaluating pregnancies. It can also be used when fine-needle aspirates are necessary to perform biopsies or to obtain urine from the bladder. Ultrasounds can also distinguish fluid from soft tissue, making it an extremely valuable diagnostic tool.
We are pleased to offer our pet families the advantages of modern diagnostics. Please call us if you have any questions at all about our diagnostic capabilities.
