Cat & Dog Vaccinations in
As puppies and kittens get older, they start losing the antibodies they received from nursing. Our vaccines provide pets with the antibodies they need going forward in life to stay protected from diseases like rabies, distemper, and parvo.
We’re dedicated to providing cat and dog vaccinations in Conroe, TX, to keep pets healthier and prevent the spread of disease among animals. What’s more, pets can also transmit zoonotic diseases to their owners. By vaccinating your pet when needed, you’re protecting both them and the rest of your family from infection.

How Safe are Vaccines for Dogs and Cats?
Pet vaccines are very safe, and getting safer every year. Side effects and allergic reactions to vaccines are extremely rare, but we are always conscious of potential risks and take precautions to minimize them as much as possible.
Every dog and cat has a vaccine schedule that’s tailored to their exact needs, so they receive only what they need for their protection. We also space out booster shots for puppies and kittens to help them build up their immunity gradually.
Vaccines for Dogs
The vaccines we most commonly recommend for dogs include:
- DHPP (distemper-parvo combo)
- Bordetella (kennel cough)
Vaccines for Cats
For cats, we recommend the following vaccines:
- FVRCP (feline distemper)
- FeLV (feline leukemia, recommended for indoor/outdoor cats)
Our Recommendations for Puppies and Kittens
Puppies and kittens should start their vaccines early in life, preferably when they are 6-8 weeks old. This is when they should receive the first booster in their booster series, which is given every 3-4 weeks until they are about 16 weeks old. Both puppies and kittens should receive their rabies vaccine by this time.
